Rub with the slice of lemon: Rub the slice of lemon on the edges of the nails for about five to eight minutes and rinse with water. Do it daily for better results. This makes your nails pinkish and even soft.

Drink lots of water: It will be helping your cuticles and fingernails hydrated. Fingernails absorb water 100 times faster than skin, so they lose water just as fast. Dehydrated uticles not only look ragged but also can turn into painful and infected hangnails.
Keep them free: If you wear nail polish a lot, it doesn't allow for your nails to breathe. So, get rid of the nail polish for two to three days a week.
